Xbox Series X price increase: it's going up again for the second time this year


The Xbox Series S has also gone up in price and is $200 more expensive

Following a price increase in May, on October 2, 2025, Xbox Series X will cost $649.99 – that’s $150 more than the console initially launched for in November 2020. The “affordable” Xbox will cost $399.99 come October 2 – an increase of $100 over its launch price of $299.99. Microsoft still hasn’t announced a pre-order date or the prices of its upcoming handhelds, though they’re strongly rumored to cost $899.99 and $549.99, respectively.
