Xiaomi reportedly creates 'chip platform department' to further its in-house goals

The company has informed members internally about its progress into custom chips.

The Chinese OEM has reportedly tapped Qin Muyun, who has a history as Qualcomm's former senior director of product marketing to lead the charge.
