You should use Gemini's new 'incognito' chat mode - here's why and what it does

If you use Google's Gemini AI, there's a new feature that gives you the privacy you want and deserve.

Jack Wallen / Elyse Betters Picaro / ZDNET Google added Temporary Chats to boost AI privacy. Unless you're using AI locally, when you use ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Sanctrum, Aria, or any other service, your chats are saved and can be used in a similar fashion to standard searching. Jack Wallen/ZDNETGoogle did retain the options for deep research, canvas, images with Imagen, and Guided Learning in Temporary Chats, so you won't feel as if you're using a stripped-down version of the service.
