As the CSA prepares to launch Matter 1.5 this fall, a 1.4.2 update is improving compatible devices now.
As Matter continues to grow into a fully fledged smart home connectivity standard, the CSA periodically releases updates to make the protocol secure and easier to use. CRLs protect you from unknowingly adding an insecure or fraudulent device to your smart home by letting Matter flag and block those with compromised or outdated certificates.
