YouTube videos no longer playing for adblocker users as platform crackdowns

YouTube and adblockers have battled for years now, but this may now be coming to an end as the video platform steps up its tactics.

YouTube is cracking down on ad blockers, causing videos to skip directly to the end for users with these browser extensions enabled. While YouTube hasn’t come out with any information around this new skipping phenomenon for those attempting to watch with ad block, they did say they were tightening enforcement in April.
