Zuckerberg says Meta will lay off more ‘low-performers’


Meta’s CEO tells employees he’s “raising the bar” ahead of “an intense year.”

“We typically manage out people who aren’t meeting expectations over the course of a year, but now we’re going to do more extensive performance-based cuts during this cycle — with the intention of backfilling these roles in 2025.” While the exact number of job cuts is unclear, managers at Meta have been told that about 5 percent of employees will be let go starting February 10th.
